Quick question for the Lincoln owners out there because I’m honestly not sure which direction to go with this. My Continental has been struggling to start the last few mornings and I know the battery is on its way out, but I’m really torn about where to take it. The dealer in Dubai quoted me a pretty eye-watering price for a battery replacement, and I’m wondering if there are independent workshops out there that can do the job just as well for a more reasonable cost. I’ve heard some places can do it for half the price, but then I’m worried about whether they’re using the right quality battery and whether they know how to handle the electronic systems properly. I’ve read that with these Lincolns you need to make sure the battery is properly registered to the car’s computer, otherwise you can get all sorts of weird issues with the start-stop and the infotainment system. I live in Dubai and I’d love to find someone who offers trusted Lincoln car battery replacement in Dubai without having to pay dealer prices, but I also don’t want to compromise on quality and end up with more problems down the line. Has anyone here used an independent workshop for their Lincoln battery and had a good experience? Or is the dealer actually worth the extra money for the peace of mind? I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people who’ve actually been through this rather than just guessing about it.
